Activity 1 Social and emotional learning - Establish observable behaviors (goals)

What are we going to learn?

  • Actividades Programa Inteligencia Emocional y Social - Educación Financiera y Negocios
  • Te invitamos a trabajar el programa TREASURE ISLAND desde casa.
  • Social and emotional intelligence: Exercise self-knowledge and recognition of emotions that achieve good management and control of them, to regulate effective, affective and assertive interaction with others, generating common well-being, towards social and collective consciousness. Developing global citizens.
  • Discipline and character formation: To develop the discipline understood as the methodical constancy to achieve objectives.

What are we going to do to do?

  1. Define desired observable behaviors, identifying the skills you want to develop by reviewing the criteria for these skills in the self-assessment rubric.
  2. Some examples:
    • Wash hands when getting up
    • Wash your hands 5 times a day
    • Do not put your hands to your face
    • Sneeze covering the mouth with the inside of the elbow

What are we going to do?

  1. Investigate about the communication process
  2. Use these videos for your investigation: communication process, mass media 
  3. And look at the next diagram:

  1. In your notebook, write 3 sentences of what you understand.
  2. Draw the communication diagram in your notebook, but think what was the last communication process you experienced:
    1. Draw yourself as the receptor. Draw the last mass media you watched/saw/or red. Draw who the transmitter was, and what was the message.
  3. Upload your diagram to your Facebook group.
  4. Think about how mass media, earn money. Read the answer here

  2. What can you infer from each one of this 2 advertisement posters?
  3. Create a slogan to persuade some action that you like humanity to change for the care of the environment, the creation of orchards, etc. Use a background image. (you can use canva, powerpoint, or any other tool you have access to).
  4. Upload it to your Facebook group.

What are we going to learn?

  • Art movements (Art History and Timeline)

What are we going to do?

  1. Read carefully the following blog post about the 13 revolutionary artistic movements that defined the history of the visual arts: https://mymodernmet.com/es/movimientos-artisticos-importantes/ 
  2. According to your investigation in the blog post, answer the following questions in your art notebook:
    1. What are the 13 revolutionary artistic movements?
    2. Mention a representative artist from each of the 13 artistic movements
  3. Make a video timeline of the 13 artistic movements you just learned. (Take this video as an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm4O98t8R2M )
  4. Tips:
    1. Avoid copying and pasting information, it is very valuable to read your original ideas, remember to paraphrase (say it in your own words) the information you read and understood.
    2. Although the video example is very wide, try to make your video a maximum of 3 minutes.
    3. Use representative images of each movement and artist.
